Introduction
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), launched in 2015 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is a structured and evidence-based system for assessing higher education institutions across the country. It aims to promote transparency, accountability, and quality enhancement through standardized performance indicators.
Beyond ranking, NIRF serves as a strategic framework for institutional self-assessment and continuous improvement.
